I think we should make an index of ships/fleets which have adopted this balancing standard, so we find them in with much less effort and have many more ships to balance ours against, other than the standard fleet provided. And I am waiting for carrier rules and ships to balance against, since I am n...

Wow... Repetition.... ahhh!! Did anyone else not notice the monstrous repetition in the ships? Of course, I'm not much of a B5 fan so I don't really know how much like the originals they look... But other than that i find them very good looking. I agree, repetition was one of my bigger faults. And ...

March 2008?! Call the paladins, we've got a necro! Something I am quite pleased of, for obvious reasons. Right now, I am in the middle of some other projects, so I don't think I would be able to redo the b5 ships. However, with custom sections and features such as movement, it might be a really int...

Re: Some random new stuff.

I just felt like building something random I thought of a week or so ago. http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p387/thes0f4king/Battleships%20Forever/SMscreen04.png The highlighted sections fade in and out for a weird pulsating effect I thought was worth trying out. Here's the download if you want to...

You saw the update, you saw the changelog, yet you didnt actually download it and carried on with the older version...? What kind of philosophy is that? Unless there is something seriously wrong with the release, you should ALWAYS update. Lol, well, I did not feel like updating That was the problem...

hi! As the new version of the shipmaker has come, I am interested in buiding a new generation of ships for the Loricentii, a race I built some time ago. I have the backstory written, and the concept of the ships ready. And I might give a try to building the fleet using stock-balance standards. But o...

I do understand the difference between Stock balanced and simply "balanced" and agree on the fact that stock balance does not allow enough freedom to play with in custom ships. But I guess I like to play with a different threshold than you do, and have a distinct taste in what is overpower...

I always liked balanced ships and fleets, not overly powerful, in order to have the chance to play the game in a rather even field. Since a new SB was released, I returned to BSF to buid a new generation of ships. I have planned several new ships for my Loricentii race. (there is a post about them a...

As the overall shape, I'd say it captures the feel of the ship rather good. Maybe the nose is too "diamond-shaped rigid" and should be more rounded on it's sides. About stretching, yes, it really hurts the model. I always try to keep pieces in a relative size to each other, in order to avo...

I think you need to get accurate top-down views of the ships to build your own over them, using the pics as backgrounds for your shipbuilder. And as people said, add more colour. I consider the ships are not bad, and the creation of a homeworld fleet is a proyect I would really like to see finished....

I'd like to get in the competition. A teaser for a brand new fleet. it will go into the fanship section: 2nd entry: Taiidan defender, from Homeworld 1 http://hwshipyards.relicnews.com/taiidan/images/heavy_defender1.jpg The model itself is very tiny, to allow it to be part of a hypotetical future Hom...

I don't get why didn't you use black colour for those yellow hexagonal shields to make them invisible. could you explain it to me again, please? If I am not wrong, they would behave exactly in the same way they behave now but they would be invisible.

I think both ion cannon turrets in the battlecruiser shoot two beams each. But they are soo close that they end overlapping and look like they only shot one beam each. They have different reload times, however, so when you zoom in, it should be noticeable. So the ship itself would shoot 4 beams if y...
