Yup, you've got it down just fine now. Just keep making ships and check out what others have done to pick up some ideas for different visual effects and you're good.

I did a similar thing with the missiles on the Shi'Dong'Tao, but tweaked them more. Yeah- a 150 damage railgun will do 15 damage to each section, 10 sections deep. You'd want to adjust the stats on it in the shipbuilder to up the amount each section takes if you're wanting to have it deal out 150 all at once.

Now just get the turn radius and max speed up, drop the acceleration, and set the AI range to 0 so that you get this thing doing some nice sweeping arcs and a choppy-choppy effect.

Aye- but how often would you turn away when facing one ship? Other than the Deiterling, I can't think of that often, and in that situation you're dealing with the benefits of a faster ship turn rate while losing the benefits of a larger arc.

The dark color with the glowing green reminds me of the LEGO space sets, although I don't know if that's something to encourage you to keep it or encourage you to get rid of it. The revision style looks very good, and again, your only real problem with the first ship was the tiling on the flat areas...

I'd say the large flat area could use more variation, but otherwise it isn't bad. It appears that some of the shorter pylons aren't quite lined up but that may be the angle of the ship.

It seems overgunned, but then at the same time, most of that weaponry is pretty short-ranged. Your pulse gatlings look to have a mirroring error (unless you intend to have two stacked atop each other) but otherwise it's good. This sounds like a problem a friend had, I think it was something to do with the beam weapons. I was able to start a battle and load his ship into it, and the battle proceeded apace- but then an error would pop up. If I hit ignore, it went merrily along without problems.
