Man if I could draw, I would have anatomy pictures for the guys lined up like ducks at a shooting gallery, however my skill at drawing comes down to blueprints...I guess I could always get somebody somewhere with a high level of skill to help out with that.... And true it is alot of text, I never re...

The Terakuran Empire

After a brief bout of playing and modding cortex command, I am finally going to revive my old idea for a fleet (of which only one of a planned 30+ ships was done), course many people wouldn't recognize it or really even care so I'm just really tooting my own horn at this point.... The Terakuran Empi...

I play Tau, mainly for the long range specalization, and the battlesuits. I really like the Devilfish hit and run tactic, and Broadsides, and just about everything Tau. Long range is how I play just about every game (except Halo). I have quite a bit of money from my jobs so I have a fairly large arm...

Personally, the design style dosen't reflect the nation the ship is from (mainly for America); spiky, McLow-effeciency ship dosen't scream "America."
However; I would like to see how this goes...

Actually Turok was not my basis, it was my obsession with reptiles (virtually all my biology reports have been on them). Then the rest of the biology, culture, government, etc.. was my idea for a "perfect" nation that I had to do for my government class. The Terakurans are an extrapolation...

My ships (not that have released much, but i still have all the names laid out) are named based on class. Gunboats: NATO codes, e.g. Lambda-2, Elipson-4... Light Clasess (tonnage wise): Named with adjetives that a small, quick, and light, e.g. Cougar class corvette, Sniper class Frigate... Medium Cl...

Thanks all, I really think a backstory just adds a whole new level to your ships, and it keeps me true to the design concepts, however; ships won't be released fast, for two reasons. I'm fairly new and have an obsession with putting forth only my best, and; I don't have an extreme ammount of free ti...

Terakuran Feet (Delayed)

For anyone who checks here: Delayed quite a bit because of my teachers laying so much work on my before spring-break starts, not to mention I won't get too much done over break since I would rather take advantage of the Florida weather while I'm down there... Well despite my novice status here; I ha...

Well setting your own scale would work but it just sort of bugs me not knowing exactly how big to make them (like I said, I'm OCD about that), since before I start on a ship, I draw a basic blueprint/schematic to work out all the kinks and make the ship as mechanically possible as I can, in other wo...

Well if we have crusader fleet, then we need some kind of Islamic fleet...green beams might work (don't ask why). Then we can reenact the most stupid and useless wars in human history that only lead to a rise in tensions and hate between the middile east and the Christan west, which has carried over...

These are rather nice, they have well done (abeit small ships) and the terrain is decorated nicley. It also runs very fast on my crappy old laptop so that's a plus. All of these encounter missions will be a hundred times better if text and briefing scripts are added. Mission four was my favorite, yo...

Ship Size

I will start off by saying in advance that I searched for a similar topic and got nothing, I apoligize if this has been asked before. What do you think the sizes of the ships that come default with game are (either masswise or dimensional)? Or what would be the size of undistorted ship sections? I a...
