Would there be any way we could position our fleet so that the MS has to spawn between us? If we could do that, we could force the mothership to have to turn and engage one half of the fleet or the other, leaving it's back exposed for the rest of the fleet. Just a thought

I think my ship is basically going to stay as it is now barring any major objections, the only thing I can think of is maybe some armament changes (although the gatlings seem to be fairly effective in terms of damage output) and removing the tails on either end to throw more sections into my aegis g...

After much exam stress finally got a second to sit down and throw together a ship design available here (EDIT: Realized that one of my gatling blasters was covering an aegis deflector, moved it and updated the url to reflect this change) http://www.wyrdysm.com/battleshipsforever/shipdatabase/uploads...

Right, there's advantages to both. Straight on shielding is going to protect from direct fire but be vulnerable to weasels and sidewinders, angles are going to sacrifice head on damage absorption for the flexibility to stop shots arcing behind the deflected sections. All Endless is concerned about i...

The major advantage is that it's an 8 ship fleet so it's not expected to take the brunt of the megatachs all by itself. And yes, tachs are the major liability of the design, once they get bouncing around behind the shields trouble is afoot. What the design is GREAT at doing is absorbing straight on ...

Updated my previous post with a download link to the .shp file. If you guys think the aegis configuration is too abusive, I have several other chassis I'm working on that I can post as well, I feel that overall the Jormungand design is the best at absorbing fire while still providing acceptable fire...

All right, here we go. Version one of the Jormungand, a rework of the ship I used in the first Attack the Mothership tournament http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii15/QwiceNitely/Jormungand.jpg The armament is sort of interchangable at this point, I think the gluon bolters are a mistake, and it mig...

Hey guys sorry for not posting until been busy with stuff. Going to have a preliminary ship design up within the next hour In terms of the screenshot of the mothership, Endless said that it was still under construction and was mounted in a scaffold. I think that some (maybe most?) of the ship is hid...

I'm in as well, hopefully school doesn't violate me with work like last time I tried to participate in one of these bad boys. Got a couple ideas in the works for this one.

Afraid I'm going to have to drop out guys, my exam schedule is INSANELY busy this week and next and I'm not going to have a lot of time to devote to ship design. Sorry!

All right, I'll step in for Gamma. Think my ship needs a complete rebuild from the ground up though which means I'm not going to have a preliminary build up tonight

I'm up for it as well, have a battleship in the works that I can reappropriate for this! Although to be fair, Jafo got his name in before me, I don't want to steal his spot ;)
