My friend has depression and lost his home - please help!

Hello everyone You probably don't remember me, but back when BSF was at its height I was one of the most prolific posters on this forum. I built ships, played games, helped with tournaments, and generally had a whale of a time all the way around. BSF was an amazing game with an amazing community, an...

Some insight into the creative process of video game design

Hi everyone... Well, I recently discovered this fledgling YouTube channel and thought it was pretty interesting... http://www.youtube.com/user/DesignerWatts ...It's the channel of an artist and video game designer called Chris Watts and is, over the coming months, going to feature videos detailing t...

Indeed... sometimes I can't read them either... :|

Moved to Etc. because this is not BSF related. Opps... sorry... It contains hidden messages meant to convert you to satanism. In short, I got no idea. But creepy is the right word, yeah. According to RelicNews forums, it's an audio version of what is known as a CAPTCHA... Apparently, you see...

I found something very strange

At least I thought it was... I discovered this on the weblog of a man named Robert Anderson, a Star Trek vs Star Wars debater... http://www.st-v-sw.net/weblog/ If you go to the "comments" section of one of his posts (any post will do), you'll note that it has a version of the now ubiquitou...

I have that game... I can't say I play it over the Internet (or even that I've played in the last year or so), but I do own it... It was pretty good... Actually, it was one of my favourites for quite a while...

So what, you want to see your swinbots mate in graphic detail? :| Anyway, downloading the program now... I'm just off for a walk, so I'll set it up and let it run while I'm out... EDIT: Well...

th15 did not have much of a hand in a LOT of these changes, Trek. I suggest you pay respects to those who actually worked hard on this shit; ie, Kaelis. Without him there would not be all this stuff in 0.90. Without my curiousity and crazed ideas, there wouldn't be all these awesome new and excitin...

By the way TH, you've made all these incredibly extensive changes to the game, but you still haven't finished the last two campaign missions... I wouldn't want to think you were neglecting the campaign and skirmish modes... :(

1: After I quit BSF, it sometimes brings up one of those "the programme has stopped working" boxes... 2: I decided to playtest the "Pendulum" custom ship that was bundled with the game and it works fine, right down the the ship's weapon also animating in the side-bar when you hav...

Well, seeing as the there still isn't adequate documentation pertaining to how to manipulate the new features in Shipmaker and that the pissing contest of Arcalane and Serpah vs the rest of the forum (where the former vent their frustations onto the latter and vice versa) renders asking anyone here ...

There is a difference between bad graphics and bad art. If you go back and look at successful games from the area where graphics were even more primitive than this, they still don't look as ugly as this does. Pong had better art than this. I have to agree with Siber here... That's why Gamespot in t...

Being someone who never really became a big time ship maker (I could operate Shipmaker 3, I just didn't make extensive use of it), I wholely sympathise with Hypothetical Wisdom... I have absolutely no idea what the Hell any of this is about either... OK, so a rotsection makes section rotate... How!?...
