Map porting wouldn't be straight forward it would be more like redoing them in GM, but using the same art and things. Thats not true. All you have to do is read the format output by the map editor. Kae might even be able to build a map making program that doesn't require GM open to fiddle with room...

For the graphics part, you also have to factor in stuff like the colour quality you want, like wether your gonna use the "256 colours" or the "16 or 32 bit" color settings. Lower colour quality means less computing power in needed, which may be a factor if your using something l...

GM isnt really limited, as far as 2d goes there are few things you can't do. Its main flaw is poor performance, but from what i can see, for Lizzie that would be of no concern. You're going to have to elaborate on this because I have no idea what you're talking about. If you mean the 'of no concern...

Your best bet would be learning C++ or C# and going to work on a pure engine in OGL designed for your RPG, it gives best speed and best control, however it takes long coding hours, and many many hours of fucking around trying to make the prat work with your compiler. I strongly disagree with that. ...

Then you should consult paint.net documentation and/or forums, since theres no way that shipmaker is responsible for this.

Im not sure what is it exactly that you are doing, but 'blurriness' is caused by scaling (including zooming in/out) and rotation.

Do advanced functions not work if the ship is too large? That might happen, yes. Although, to be precise, it has nothing to do with ship size - rather the size of .shp . If you want to be sure, place a few more weapons/sections and see if things are getting worse. If they do, that means youve broke...

Re: The curvy alien fleet

Wow. This is amazing. Except for the cruiser, i have no real crits. Theyre perfect, and im in love. Only one small, subjective nitpick: i like colors from the destroyer ( non-jellyfish one ) the best; i wish you had used them on all of these. Now, as for the cruiser: the flow is fine, but i think yo...

Every section sprite has an axis aligned bounding box (ie the box rotates when you rotate the sections). The bounding box takes scaling into account. Ship size is simply the furthest (from the ship core) corner from all section bounding boxes.
