Well, back to the ships. A computer combat simulation was held between the Nanking and a model of the Velvet Hammer-class constructed from publicly available data. Sort of, because there's two spines to destroy to destroy each half of the ship. It's more redundant, I suppose.

Yep, it's named after one of the magic swords in Eragon . That said, creative use of sections to make the spikes.
