I've never really thought of the blue dot being just a marker, I've always assumed it was just the reactor bulging out a bit, like some of the ships in schlock mercenary.

yeah the part repetition came from how i built it. just making a main spar and then branching out to get the shape done as quickly as possible so i could start tweaking weapons.

got a new computer, the laptop i had been using for the last few monthes couldn't run the game. i'm very happy that you can now change weapon color, speed, etc. so i rebuilt a Star Destroyer to take advantage of it. http://www.wyrdysm.com/battleshipsforever/shipdatabase/uploads/Markos_Imperial_class...

depends, most of the time i wing it, on ships i know what i want them to look like before hand (like the ISD) i build a spine/keel/core/ect first and branch off of it.

i am using F9 but can't find any images in C:\Program Files\Battleships Forever do they go to a separate folder? converted the files to zip. editing OP now.

you might try taking out the 90 degree bend pieces and attaching the spikes directly to the core, and/or adding a second layer of spikes, each one connected to the one inwards of it.

thats nothing, i upped a shock beamer to 9999999 and it made an effect i keep thinking of as a 'wave motion gun'.

i can't find where my screenshots go so you'll have to alter one yourself
