Releasing a game commercially on Game Maker would be unworkable. I thought it was obvious they would do a ground-up rebuild in a faster language, so I didn't bother to mention it. It's not an April Fool if it cannot be disproven, just like Pastafarianism. "didn't bother to mention it" - Y...

I ran the Dx10 install and it didn't give any errors, nor have I received any errors for DirectX Applications, so I assume it's running fine. "Will DirectX 10 be available for Windows XP? No. Windows Vista, which has DirectX 10, includes an updated DirectX runtime based on the runtime in Windo...

With the current system of parenting the "1 2 3" thing is nearly impossible. It might be possible to make the section blow up if any of the 1,2,3 sections are destroyed.

How about a wiki with no custom content whatsoever, but simply documenting the current state of BF? It would be an easier way to maintain the weapon stats.

No, DX10 will not run in XP. DX9 will, though, and most games will run in DX9 just fine. However, most won't look as good, and stuff like volumetric fog will be absent. Darwine (Darwin (Mac OS X Core) + Wine) is not very up to date on the official website, but try this: http://thisismyinter.net/?p=29 with whichever build. It's unofficial but at least a version that runs BF on Linux; there's a chance it will work like on Linux if you follow my instructions adapted t...

But my question is this, will a quad-core CPU make BSF run a lot faster than a single core of the same power, or is the game not multi-threaded? Probably a stupid question, but I'm curious. PS: Any tips for Vista-r...
