Wow... It's sure been awhile.
Forgot a lot of shortcuts and fancy stuff, but here's my contribution to the nostalgia train:

Re: Netharis' Reconstructive Surgery
Yes... Yeeeees...... My ego has been sufficiently stroked for me to post a reply. In all seriousness, I've only just returned from a brief holiday. @Lukasmah & Ristyo, The main reason I decided to reconstruct this ship is because I found the original to be a cluttered mess. Hence, trying to keep...

Re: BSOD Shipyards(WARNING-WARNING-SHIP GOODNESS MAY VARY)
Weapon spam aside, I think the Cocel is actually the best-looking ship. In fact, it would be a rather good-looking ship. Your shiny ship, on the other hand... Leaves much to be desired. I find the main problem to be the abrupt transitions between the core and the wing struts, and again from the wing...

Re: (Editing) Commonwealth of colonies of Clarence Industry
I find the Waterloo to be quite brilliant.
Thought, I second Calvin's opinion of the new destroyer.
Whatever happened to the DDX? I thought that had some promise.

Re: First Ships Using Shiny Sprites
Even if you're using grab feature, you should still be able to reset the zoom before taking screenshots. As for the ship itself, 1) It's nice and sleek. 2) I think the current colour scheme is fine. The main reason that I find this better than your first ship is that there is a better transition bet...

Re: Netharis' Ships and... stuff.
Heh. Thanks, Doogie. :) @Lukasmah, Unfortunately, I don't believe that I will be revisiting that ship in the foreseeable future. Mainly due to me being really lazy. Thanks for the feedback, though. I'll keep it in mind for my future ships. Anyway, a combination of a lack of inspiration and me being ...

Re: To steal Netharis' thunder
Well, I tend to use a lot of glows so it looks fine to me.
I agree with adding more teamstripes, though. (Either that or removing the lone teamstripe at the front.)
Glows aside, the ship itself is great.

Re: Zalausai's Ships and Ship Ideas
I would prefer the cover to be wider, but that's fine too.
Ah, I see what you're going for now. Then it might look a better if there was a more obvious transition from one style to the next.
I think doogie's latest ship is a pretty good example of what I'm trying to say.

Re: A random ship
I guess I'll jump straight into the feedback. 1) The sw-style armaments and engines all look out of place against the rest of the ship which has been done in the stock-style. 2) While I agree that the "covered electronics" is a good idea, I think it would look less odd if the armor coverin...

Re: Netharis' Ships and... stuff.
@Anna, Thanks, Anna. :) @turtwig, What Doogie said. Keep at it (or, well, start it seeing as you haven't posted any ships yet.) Don't forget to check out the other veterans' ships for inspiration. Maybe one of the others' building style(s) would match yours better. Edit: Whoops. Almost forgot to pos...

Re: My Ship
Quite good for a first ship. The most glaring problems I see would be the resized/rotated section at the front and back of the ship because they look out of place among the clean lines of the rest of the ship and that the weapons are a darker shade of grey that the rest of the ship which just looks ...

Re: Zalausai's Ships and Ship Ideas
I think the tail bits of the oblivion are very well done, but the front would perhaps match a bit better if it had a cover along the center like the tail bits. At the moment it looks exposed. The Quietus looks like it was built with two different styles; the busy industrial-ish look of the back does...

Re: Netharis' Ships and... stuff.
Hmm, it looked pretty good on its own, but I guess I didn't consider it relative to the rest of the ship.
