Re: The Sssuperguy Shipyards
So far that's beyond my capability. For now. Everything I can do on shipmaker is from my own experimentation. Speaking of which, I am currently figuring out a way to make a cockpit (single sprite) have some translucent windows without making any custom sprites myself. Of course, that would be easier...

Re: The Sssuperguy Shipyards
Well thanks, I think. Might add a couple of gun turrets later, but intill then those red flight markings will act as computer guided, rocket propelled double light sabers.

The Sssuperguy Shipyards
True to the title, it's a shipyard.

Good? Bad?

Re: A health-absorbing laser?
Hm. Opening this just takes me to the shipmaker with nothing opened.

Re: Gratuitous Space Battles ship database
Yep, figured it out. Turns out I now have a couple of misnamed files containing sprites used in already existing ships. The only thing is that I don't know what those 2 used to be called. But at least I've went down from 100+ errors to just 10.

A Megabeam Defence Platform
I have tried, a few times, to make a huge and cumbersome defence platform that would shoot a high-damaging beam straight ahead of it. But for whatever the reason, it always ignores the arc range that I've set for it and fires completely off to the side. Thanks for reading, got any ideas?

A health-absorbing laser?
Here's the idea that would be nice to have, a laser beam that slowly diminishes the enemy's strength while replenishing your own. Obviously, that would require a nanomatrix and a laser weapon of some kind. Would there be a way to set up the nanomatrix to only work while the weapon is firing?

Re: Gratuitous Space Battles ship database
Now that I've downloaded those (thanks, by the way), shipmaker has decided to hate me. When opening shipmaker, I get swamped with 100+ error reports, all saying something along the lines of this: ___________________________________________ ERROR in action number 1 of Other Event: Game Start for obje...

Re: Gratuitous Space Battles ship database
I'm not really a techie. I was just the one in the family who knew a bit about computers and then accidentally became the family IT expert. But here's what usualy happens (and what also happens with downloadable ships): I start the download and choose to open the file. I get the good ol' "Windo...

Re: My first post, including custom ship #279
If it were possible to fix that, any ideas would be appreciated. Because I have none. The other thing that slightly bothers me is the way the horizontal line of symmetry looks. But I could most likely fix that when I decide to. Here is what it currently looks like, in battle against a couple cruiser...

Re: Gratuitous Space Battles ship database
Oh, don't think that I can't use my imagination. But what you can think is that I suck at graphical design! So really, it's either this or back to the ol' parts that came in with the download. And yes, I tried downloading other sprite packs but it simply won't work on my laptop.

Gratuitous Space Battles ship database
I, myself, am a fan of GSB. This is possibly because the top profiles of their ships are easily implanted into battleships forever! Speaking of GSB, introducing the Buffalo class Federation Cruiser! http://imageshack.us/a/img850/2150/skillsyo.png No custom bullet sprites yet, although the beams are ...

Re: Ratai Armada
They look kinda steampunkish by the color scheme and design. In fact the first 2 also look like the ship's side profile. But don't take this the wrong way, because I LIKE!

Re: My first post, including custom ship #279
Thanks. I'm still making my homeworld 2 ship database, and it's going to be a challenge for the vaygr as their ships are so vertical. But I'll find a way. Not sure what to do about battle damage however. I could either A, make some framwork underneath, but I have never tried that before. B, cut up t...
