Think it's because my attack is higher than aegis can withstand.
I parent all my sections from the middle, so it couldn't have been the latter.
So if the attack is more than the health of the section, it explodes?

Normally, it doesn't run that slowly. Just that i set the stats crazy....
I can still do that easily with only around 1/100 the power of that beam actually.

And what is the value of "x"? I was not aware of it when i tried modding my aegis sheilds

I thought they were invincible...

can't seem to open the .enc files containing ships. I renamed it to .shp and it still didn't work.
