Bunch of major trait ideas: Plutocracy Your house is governed by a plutocracy. In the power vacuum after the fall of the empire, the richest merchants used their wealth to sieze control of the planet. Those with the largest amounts of credits and property are able to buy positions on the ruling gove...

Yeah, I think the shading is great.. Only thing that bothers me is those two pieces in the far back.

The left frontal bit is too far forward, not up and down. The right frontal bit is one pixel too far up.

To be more clear, these bits seem slightly off center. Image

A few of the sections here seem to be unsymmetrical to the other side of the ship. And it might be nice to have a clearer, more cohesive border around the core hole thing.

All in all I rather like it.

Just to let you know, you don't have to do video, the ship builder has the capacity to allow you to make gifs like the one in my signature. You may find it easier. Do you mean the shipmaker can do animated GIFs on it's own? Because otherwise I'd have to take a dozen screenies at just the right mome...

Yes, I posted a link to the video underneath the ship. Here it is again: http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/E ... t=ship.flv

Yeah, the weapon balance is pretty impressive. Though I still feel ships with more weapons and less armor do better than vice-versa.

Oh, yeah, that does seem to be the core there. xD I'm glad people seem to like the clockwork ship, I'd still love to twiddle with it some more. The second "mucking about" ship looks like it should be the rear of a larger ship rather then its own ship, good layering though. Yeah, I think th...

No, that's right. That's exactly what they should be. The point is that with these stats, they'll never ever be used. IMO, a turning assist should give more turning per mass than an engine, but far less of anything else, or nothing of anything else.

Figured I'd try using a few of the gears. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/Elitay/SMscreen023.png http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/Elitay/?action=view&current=ship.flv Also mucking about a bit, http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c19/Elitay/SMscreen026.png http://i24.photobucket.com/albu...

Mmhm, but as they are it's more efficient in every way possible to stick on ultra-light engines as assists. If I had a light engine and felt my turning was too low, I could: A) Add two turning assists cost: 600 mass, 200 power benefit: 200 speed, 10 accel, 910 turning B) Upgrade to a standard engine...
