Re: Pulling the Plug?

Yeah, it's probably a good idea now, the battle scenes and vids were one of my favourite parts of looking back over the old metagame.

Re: EVEN LARGER SHIP: IT LIVES!

I'd say the middle on is workable but yeah, with the engine armour out the way the furthest out does look the best. Hmm this makes me want to try building again, if only I had the time...

Re: EVEN LARGER SHIP: IT LIVES!

That is some real epic work vid! Love the blue/blackprint shots. At first I was gonna say something about the main engines looking abit odd so far out underneath the smaller ones but now I can kinda picture how it'd be in 3D in my head and it's actually pretty cool.

Re: I has spaceships.

The green one is pretty cool, but the blue one, well everything apart from those two big sections for the nose is awesome, just really nice. Just make the nose a bit more interesting and more fitting for the rest of the ship and it'd be perfect.

Re: My Ship/s

Come on Rockboy, jwa takes some time to give you an evolution of sprites and how when used well how even really simple designs can look very detailed, and then immediately after you post 3 identical circles in eyeburn red. Just practice a bit, you've actually gone backwards with these latest 3 inste...

Re: Star Wreck Uber download pg 24

Alot of really awesome work here, the colouring for the Covenant ships does look pretty good by the way.

Re: Building Ships, need C&C

Gorgeous style. The P-brick basically sums up all the good bits I like on the first one, and the turrets on the first one are lovely. Escort looks nice and aggressive. Only criticism is the piece cutting the front end of the larger ships in half, it matches up with the piece in front of it perfectly...

Re: Shadowbane's ships

Hmm shame you lost the first one, I really loved the back on that. But this one is pretty good too, but as much as I love green, the amount on this is a bit too much the first one was better on the colour front. Also this one does have a big line in the middle cutting it in half almost all the way t...

Re: Shadowbane's ships

That does actually look pretty cool, a little bit of refining needed maybe, e.g. I personally would add a section to the nose prongs since the outer sides of them seem a bit empty, but otherwise a nice little ship.

Re: Preliminary Armour System

That's actually a really clever idea. Kind of makes it seem like higher hp values represent higher quality armour, not just more.

Re: My first decent looking ship

The one before this last one was better than this I'd say. That one, if given some attention, nice colouring, a bit of detailing using smaller sprites as overlay and some just poking out underneath too to give a better sense of depth, and maybe one or two sprite swaps, would be a very nice little sh...

Re: Crimson Coalition Blueprint Databank

I know I'm not a designated shipbuilder, but would it be ok to post up a frigate/destroyer with a couple variants that I cobbled together just now out of boredom? I know they won't probably be used but just to share them as ideas before the game gets started. I'd put them in the rules thread but the...

Those are some honestly great ships, love the front of the Halberd particularly. Shall look forward to more!

Re: 3-State Task Roster

Great organisation strategy, should give us a one up having the three groups often able to work independently. I doubt I'll be much of a good shipbuilder for the Coalition, although I'll still have a go before the game gets started (still good practice for the metagame after all), but I'd be happy i...

Never used IRC before but hopefully I'm not too thick to get it working, for the good of the Coalition.
