An idea for the one that has circles around it. you could get a tesla beam, give it a really short range, increase burst to say, 11, and make its deviation like 200, and then you have a "lightning mine"
put one on each of the circles and theres an interesting ship

Its a rather nice design by my standards...but it seems a bit too...plain...(color, glows, and doodads will probably fix that later) I do like to see you using some shading...however the "head" should also probably benefit from the shading.

All in all, good job

try greyscale before you color it. Also using the depth shading technique is a massive improvment to any ship (closer to top = lighter color and vice versa). also in the shape you might want something more pleasing to the eye..as of now it looks like a topheavy log.. i.e. you might want to emphasize...

A little bit of clutter, but other else than that I think it's fine. The gold plated sections stand out a bit, try using a lighter shade of yellow. My personal favorite is the Gradius. Very nifty looking ship.
I think that some of the colors you (er sorry...your brother) have used are eyeburn. Such as on the Unmanned...even if i do like those glows on the side...
the rest are pretty good, just nothing really jumps out at me too much

Ok after realizing how generic and boring the ships in this thread are...I have reverted back to making "thruster eye ships" like the ones i made to look like insects previously. So yea...three more ships. (did i get the ship classifications correct? dunno if they'd be frigates or destroye...

I didn't realize how awesome the heavy tank MKII was until i saw its reloading in the video. To everyone else I must say that I will not be making many more ships because my inspiration has been destroyed by hazel here.

You could work on color depthing (lighter shade = peices closer to the top, darker shade = farther from the top) and using smaller sections to define the shape.
