Re: Shipmaking Q&A

If you don't want to use any of the built-in team colors, you should avoid using the top three colors in the list in shipmaker (as those automatically change to the team colors in game).

Re: Weapon Depthing Woes

As far as I know, there is no better way. That's just one of the quirks still in ShipMaker.

Re: Prevent shipmaker window from being resized

Would it be possible to lock the aspect ratio of the window when resizing? I'm not sure if GM supports that sort of thing, but I've seen other programs that do this (though they aren't maximize-able). If not, being able to set the default SM window size in smconfig.ini would be helpful (instead of t...

The Flood battleship looks very nice, I really like the shape (looks good in the battle picture as well).

Also, you should probably turn off your glow in BSF (by setting it to black), so that the gray looks truly gray, rather than kind of a light brown. That will also prevent you from getting weird boxes around your ships when using the SWA-style sections. And before you continue with that style of sec...

Green and gray are ok, the aegis just makes it glow way too brightly. If you press Z, the section list should appear on the right. If you don't see the new ones there, click Open Sprites Ini under the tools menu, and pick the ini file. Then you can toggle between the 4 page-groups of sections with the 1-4 keys. (If it doesn't, press ` to switch to group mode for the n...

(Now I'm obligated to comment, since I told you to post it here, lol.) As a stock-style ship, it's not bad. The parts fit together properly, and the hull isn't packed full of guns. You'll probably want to take a look at some of the other ship threads in this section as well, to find examples of othe...

It's an attempted metagame armament, and if I change the colors of the weapons too much, it would be harder to tell what it was firing if it ever makes it into a battle, if a corporation ever liked it, :P. [Engines are blue because that's the required color for Ion Drives, am I correct?] (There's al...

Re: Fresh ships for new year.... by Hamano

1. How can i adjust the timing of doodads? Change the starting index to numbers between 0 and 1. So .5 starts it halfway done, etc. 2.Did we both improve from this one? http://www.wyrdysm.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4798 I think so (I especially like the shape of the Unnamed, and the Gradius is just ...

Apache's Shipyard [Newest: Marauder Armored Assault Frigate]

All comments and/or criticism is welcome (including the "that totally sucks" kind, as long as you can say why). After lurking for a while since my last ship, I've upgraded my old Defiler to the SWA style, with a new name. I also converted a few sprites to SWA that I had used on the origina...

I like the color combination a lot, actually. Very similar to the Blue Angels (though a bit brighter).

That's exactly what it is. If you click-drag, you can scroll the screen. The line, line stations, and etc. are to the right and a tiny bit down.

I like the Reaver destroyer's shape (a lot, as you may see by 2 of my 3 posted ships). Though I really think they all look nice. The BP project is very nice too, I'm sure if you had entered it it would have done well.
