Re: JamesTech Ships
I'd honestly start using the newer sections. And it's kinda hard to critique your ships when everything is shown in video. A few screenshots would be nice.

This color scheme is monotone and makes your ship feel rather flat. I'd honestly use the purple and yellow but it's ultimately up to you.
Your gif is also really slow or you've set the doodad to a really low speed.

The purple and yellow is my personal favorite.
The big gray ship is just messy in some areas. It's kinda hard to see the details though. Especially at that size when it's completely monotone.

Well it isn't too bad. Some gray parts are a bit messy though. Especially near the the um.. wings or side-bits.
If you added some cooler depthing and better colors, you could make this thing pretty awesome.

Re: Anna's Shipmaking Stuff
I don't like the orange stripes on the first ship color-wise. The red is also killing your depth because of it's value. The second ship would probably benefit from a better color scheme. I'd change the cyan to a darker blue but I'm sure there's plenty of other colors that work. The very front segmen...

Ok Seraph, I see your point. I admit it was idiotic to post 'rhythm' without explaining it. And I'm trying to learn from it and be better, 'kay? As you can see I've tried posting in depth cnc without using any ridiculous words. Basically would it hurt to take my cnc when it's something comprehendabl...

Re: Rugdumph's ships from Anoob to Zeepresent - Download pg3
One of the easiest color schemes to use are complimentary colors or in other words colors opposite each other on the real color wheel. Using two or three colors of a triad can also have good results. A triad is a group of three colors on the real color wheel each equidistant from each other. Anyway,...

Re: Grasmaaier's Sentinel Ships.
@Maarten: I have not seen an example of myself talking about flow then suddenly stuff getting worse.
@Squishy: No rhythm doesn't equal flow. The ships basically go from one style to a different style as you go from front to back. Rest will be done via PM.

Re: Grasmaaier's Sentinel Ships.
*Facepalm* I should have known you wouldn't have gotten it as this isn't PR or anything. Just ignore what I said but remember rhythm doesn't always refer to 'sound'. As for the 'so yeah..' thing, basically, I like the concepts but not really how the ships have been executed. It's actually rather obv...

Re: Grasmaaier's Sentinel Ships.
These ships lack rhythm IMO. Great concepts but yeah. These ships also feel really flat.
I'm loving your doodading though!

@Maarten: *Facepalm* The colors are bad, period. And I never said he had to use gray I even contradicted the engines being gray . As for the engines, I meant engine, my bad. The red sections still wouldn't create bad flow. Also, you can't create bad flow. ED: @Starstuck: Therefore simple =bad? ED2: ...

Re: Insane CAT Ships
The colors are terribad. Changing the red to grey or something that actually fits orange would make it look much better. The reverse would also probably work. The engines stick out too much at the moment. It's mainly a color issue though. I'd also prefer the default background but whatever... Now, d...

The green is fine. Cyan does not go well with green. I would try using red.
This ship doesn't have a well-defined hull shape that I can see. Especially in the middle. This also makes your depth feel weird.
I like the gunship though.

Re: Return from a long while.
Yay you're back!
The yellow has too much blue in it. Lower that and you've got a good color-scheme.
The ship is also feeling cluttered and kinda flat. Not completely digging the concept but that's probably just me.
The way you've done the exhausts remind me of something.

http://www.wyrdysm.com/phpBB3/download/file.php?id=183&mode=view This one could become really cool. It's just you have that one mecha section that's totally killing the flow (not section-blending). http://www.wyrdysm.com/phpBB3/download/file.php?id=184&mode=view Main body is too cluttered. T...
