Re: Artist Formerly Known As Silver Winged Seraph

Getting pulled into nostalgia on a friggin whim, and I come back to see you're still as impressive a shipwright as ever. Very cool :-)

Re: A Tournament for Rookies and Veterans alike.

It is indeed still alive. I'm currently in the process of setting up the fights and recording them. Pardon me if it takes a bit of time, but I'm trying not to make it look like total shit.

Re: My SCC Ships

Chiiro has pretty much hit the nail on the head in the nicest way ever. If you want to make sprites like this look good, it's going to take a lot of work.

Re: Battle of the Sins

Very good section usage. I like it, though something about the large glow is a little off; I can't say what.

Re: So gais.

Also I need to stop dump-posting ships like this, I never get any good C&C since people don't know where to focus. Indeed, it does present a bit of a problem. I will say this, the second to last one you posted has an unusual shape that's really nice. I think that's something you could run with ...

Re: A Tournament for Rookies and Veterans alike.

Submission Statuses are again current. Please check the original post to ensure that your ship is approved. Remaining submissions should be wrapped up by the end of Thursday at the latest. Since I have not heard from E-swat, I will assume he is no longer competing. I have spoken to the rest of you. ...

Re: A Tournament for Rookies and Veterans alike.

Submission statuses are current.

We're at the two week mark for submissions, so if you have not given me anything, your ship still needs work, or you would like more time to complete your ship, then get in touch with me. I would like to wrap things up and get on with the combat soon.

Perhaps you should upload your ship to me then, so that I can approve it.

Re: Instant error on startup

Re-install usually fixes. Make sure everything is in the BSF folder. Sometimes stuff gets put in the wrong place for no apparent reason.

Re: A Tournament for Rookies and Veterans alike.

Time limit, maybe? Whoever's taken the most damage after <x> minutes loses. That crossed my mind, but I prefer the idea of total annihilation. Regardless, the issue is two ships circling each other without firing. I could try making a tweaked executable that has tracking and no knockback/armour sim...

Re: A Tournament for Rookies and Veterans alike.

After some playtesting, I have decided to use the mirv beta. Ultimately it just plays better and prevents one or two design exploits possible in certain ships. Also, I wanted feedback on how people actually wanted me to handle the infinite flanking loops. My ideas were to halve the ai range of both ...

Re: A Tournament for Rookies and Veterans alike.

Apologies for the delay, I was out of town and couldn't get to a computer with BSF in order to check the submissions I got. Submission statuses are now current. Starstruck gets a cookie for his ship being approved in one go, without any errors. I would like to wrap up submissions by the end of this ...
