You should try using different colors, as Melvin so tactlessly said, they're unpleasant to look at. More than anything, I'd get rid of the glow on the front, and the floating pods off the back. Floating section and glows can be pulled off beautifully, but I'd start with something smaller and work up...

It's interesting. Obviously repetition is the point. The overall shape is decent, but even with just one section I think you could do more to make it look a bit nicer, especially with the overstretched sections on the wings. Also, the fact that you took the time to make it glow, but didn't properly ...

Very nice work on the transformation Pavel. I'll reserve complete judgment until I see how the colors pan out, but some of the sections are a bit overstretched. See where the outlines are blurrier and thicker than the other pieces?

The cruiser is definitely an improvement, though the repetition still bothers the eye a bit. I'd recommend using different sprites for the dorsal weapon housings than the rest of the hull coverings, or at least use different shadings to distinguish them and break up the monotonous appearance. The si...

Very nice for the most part. Though the yellow sections and the ones directly beneath them on the Destroyer are a bit too stretched.

The Juggernaut is beautiful.

The Cruiser is a bit repetitive though, you ought to try and put some variety in the segments.

What exactly seems to be the trouble with your ship making efforts?

I love what you've done with the front, it looks many times better than before. Now it's more apparent that the two sections don't match however, and especially with that thin connection, it looks like parts from two different ships were stuck together. Note how in the front, almost every shape is d...

It's an improvement, especially with the middle section made to look a bit sturdier. However, the Aegis on the two forwardmost sections seems a bit large in comparison to the rest, and the ship, maybe it's just me. Perhaps try using two or three smaller sections to cover the same length without taki...

Finished the latest. This is called the Serition. I was aiming for a smaller ship so that I'd be less prone to repeat sections, and I think this turned out well. I was also experimenting with buried/concealed weapons, so that they didn't stick out quite so much on the hull. Each wing has a tachyon d...

Okay, I fixed the sides in the rear. I think they blend better now. I switched the eyes back, apparently this is better. I also fixed the mirroring issue with the railgun and colored the weapons. (yes, I know your eyes hurt now, I'm going back to it.) The main thing I'd like to know is how the secti...

Garthan's nose seems a bit cluttered. Perhaps take two of the weapons off. Fringe has a depthing issue on the starboard side wing. Also, the forward facing alien section, the one with the single deflector device mounted to it, seems a bit awkwardly placed, but that's more an issue of taste I guess. ...

http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/2120/carapace.jpg Updated and armed. *Rounded off the edges in the back, since I decided they looked ugly. *Changed the "eye" color *smoothed a few roughly blended edges near the rear http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/8968/carapaceo.jpg opinions?

The section stretching on most of them is rather bad looking, although some of the overall outlines are good. Particularly, the Destroyer, with some different sections could be quite good. The mothership is rather nice save for the very empty/wirey sections in the middle. If you make it appear more ...

This one is called Yujata. It's meant to be organic, with the red sections representing "veins" of some sort. It's a bit rough, but let me know what you think.
