It's a step in the right direction for sure. The main issue I see is the blue being way too strong. Dull it down a bit so it doesn't hurt your eyes to look at it. It also makes the weapons stand out horribly. As is, it's still chunky. It looks like a blue frame, with an engine shoved in the back (th...

I would stay away from the aegis for the time being until you can improve some of your basic skills. That said, if you at least want to practice, then this link may be helpful. http://www.wyrdysm.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4089 In any case, plain white aegis looks bad every time I've seen it used. D...

This iteration is a significant improvement on your last. I second more or less everything Wicky said.

I would add that it still seems to be missing something (besides color). Perhaps next you could try wings again?

Sounds like a fantastic idea. It would certainly liven up the community a bit. My only concern would be how the building roster is decided, and what would get people included or excluded. We could just make a folder called "Chainship Sprites" with subcategories like Doodads, Sections, Bull...

This is certainly an interesting idea, and I think you have the right approach overall, but it still needs work. I think it would help if there was a clearer function to the replacement pieces.

Also, the skull decal is nice, but I think it would be better without a line going through it.

I definitely recommend taking a look at the center of the 4th ship however [the SWA one] There's something about it that doesn't really work, possibly the chunkiness. although that might be more of a problem with how the ship seems like it is kinda chopped off... I dunno. Something feels quite odd ...

Kiltric's latest ships

I have a few new ships I'd like C&C on. None of them are meant to be related except the first two. Let me know what you think. The first is called Ridley. It's one of my early ships that I recently overhauled (second picture). I wanted to get a sense of what I improved and what I need to focus o...

It's a spindly jumble. I think I see the sort of style you were going for, but it needs some work. There is nothing wrong with the spikes, and the color scheme is decent, but it looks like a slingshot could break the whole thing in half. Also, the section usage is iffy, especially in the middle of t...

It's a decent little ship. I feel like it could easily be expanded into something more. As is, it's a bit dull. The glows are nice, but it gives the impression that all it does is glow. Nice work in general, hope to see more. You said "fleet" and posted one ship. Should we expect more soon?

These are decent ships, both of them, in that there is nothing glaringly wrong with them (mirroring, colors, stretching, etc.). However they are more or less boring to look at. To me they just seem like hunks of metal. I think a bit more color to highlight weapons or at least some structure would do...

Needs moar spindly  Uhhhh, "Spindly"??? I think he's saying it looks flimsier than a paper airplane that had razor blades thrown at it. Try using something a little more substantial than a single, tiny, thin pipe to attach that forward section. I would also point out that the qualit...

Try adding some more sections on top of what is already there, using color to give it a sense of depth. As is, it seems rather flat.

Poke around the forums a bit and look at some other ships to get a sense of what is and is not good.

Ok so I have a question about using the scripts and movements and stuff. I'm having a little trouble working my head around it (needs a more fraxy like set up IMO). So, how exactly could I set it so a part would move on weapon fire, hold it's moved position for a few seconds and then move back to i...

That's certainly a good point - when I started designing ships, I was very much of the mindset that if there was any free space, it was wasted space. I tend to use a few less weapons now, though. Since the weapons make the ships hard to see, would it be appreciated if I posted caps of the ships wit...
