I hate to say this, but "Tasteful" and "Aegis" are two things that just can't sit together, especially on this forum. I think the best you could do is make a ship with a thick hi-hp prow and use ablatives. That way your ship can weather fire long enough for others to disable the ...

I think it is a decent redesign.
Maybe you should fix up the front end, make it a bit less repetitive.
Also, filling in some or all parts of the centerline would be nice.

New Ship. The Osirus.

I'm gonna try and redo the Blue ships with some of the more Alien looking pieces. Going to give them a nice re-coloring too.

Be careful though, I may be a bit color dumb.
