A railgun projectile would be moving towards the target at a massive velocity - it would be difficult to move an object into position to intercept the projectile.

Would be pointless combat.

Railguns would rip apart anything not completely coated in ultra-heavy armor. Cannot intercept a railgun. No such things as shields, and point defense would only be effective against missiles and torpedoes.

If you are going to use yellow, perhaps not just have it at the rear - add some yellow to the front somehow?

The dual turrets hanging out on the sides of the ship look silly - aesthetically and practically. The turrets would simply get blown off easily, because they are large, and easy targets.

Alright then, since you have provided an alternate solution to reconstructing my ships, I'll post my sprites - they are mostly modifications of stock sprites and your sprites that came with BSF.

The two side sections are meant to be the engines (with the glowing area), but I don't think that they are refined quite well, especially the back.

Kiran vessels do not use conventional thrusters as their main form of propulsion (which have a cool exhaust).
