customs stay if you use the ones provided by default. The bug, I understand, is if you try and remake a color using the chart instead. Besides, you've already used those on the darker red parts, so they must work for you.

color matters a great deal to visual perception, especially with a tiny picture like that one. I'd recolor it first, and avoid using predominantly a bright-popping color with a highlight of the darker color. It makes the darker red virtually disappear until you hunt for it. Rather, a good lighting s...

What else are you in to?

Simply that. Other than BSF, what is it that plays a major part of your time? You guys know I'm into modding, for DOW, so I thought I'd share my other hobby, and ask yours. I'm an XCMer, as a hobby, and while I'm not a videophile on youtube, and don't hold a candle on the best, I'm proud to say I'm ...

That would work with the ramming concept. Kaelis (I think) explained it as a crapload of point-defense weapons (invisible to the eye, of course) with point-blank range. Worked with the right color effect, it would look like a part is getting cut off. The tentacle-trailing rough-draft I made was inte...

winsauce.... Actually, the ramming concept previously mentioned that I've attempted to work into my own ships is a nice thought. Make it a ramming piece maybe? Elsewise I'd suggest, in order 1) Pulsar (like its spitting off dozens of energy blasts) 2) A Demeter launcher (invisible or buried) 3) Fros...

still a major problem with a 2D look, which could be solved with just a few parts and some alternate colors, imo, to make it that much better.

The Blade.... looks like a turtle, honestly.

may I say this was well named? The image I had reading the title fit right in with the ship design. Bravo.

I would suggest varying it a bit more. These all have "one clean side and one not" for each mirrored section. I would recommend having one side very slightly marred: maybe one piece, or a marred piece overlaying a whole one for the damage effect without ruining the lines (like surface dama...

I actually write lyrics, and did for a band for some time. I like your tableture; its simple but solid. As has been stated: with a 2nd part to round out your chords, (cello, base guitar would work, etc) My problem is the word choice; you've mixed diction, present and past tense, and sophistication l...

Try reinstalling. The installer doesn't always overwrite old exes, for some reason. This will likely solve the problem. Just a suggestion, but that is much more likely a windows problem than a BSF coding problem, and while I'm not a coder, the windows end I'd like to think I have some experience wi...

imageshack is fine, just A) never use the thumbnails, and B) never use the /url code. But they'll stay up for practically ever.

I am sorry to say that the colors are really bad. I'm going to try to get some color coding documentation up, but I think you broke most rules of thumb any painter uses.

Rather than try to explain it all here, I promise to get an FAQ up in a few days to help everyone.

color choice is bad. You need either 2 colors closer together on the color wheel (IE NOT two primary shades like yellow and blue) or you need a third shade to blend them. Like the shape of the 2nd. The screenshots they are talking about is when your using the editor: window it. when the Ship Maker i...

Not to plug, but would a "large parts" pack be possible? As previously noted, changing size does not do wonders for pieces, and sometimes you just NEED a bigger piece.

Also, a pack focused more on the organic side of things that has not been addressed yet; something more fleshy.

um... Not sure about this one. I've never seen a copy of a sea-based carrier class ship redone for space. It looks like a decent replication, but pairing that with space fighters makes it seem.... incongruous. If your going for the retro look, I'd do it all the way, and make some ships that look lik...
