once again, sorry I'm not crediting who posted this first here, but it wasn't me. http://colorschemedesigner.com/ For the terminally hopeless with color wheel points, this does it for you. For large or complicated ships, accented analogic would be arguably the best, while you'll want analogic, compl...

It looks MUCH better without the cyan frontal pieces. With the "tallest" portion on the ship being the lightest color highlight, it preserves a relative effect of 3d. It is very busy, but that's not always a bad thing. Much improved imo.

it looks like the ass end of the ship is arbitrarily extended. You even have the same shape as the tail further up a bit, with contrary lines between the too. I'd cut the tail section out and staple the engines to the center piece with the same shape.

The problem is A) the EXACT ship outline B) the filler parts Simply put, the one you made is a lot more textured and busy than the original, and that is not a good thing here imo. The outline is broken up by staggered pieces with a jagged design, which is contrary to the source photo, and the intern...

It has a wonderful outline, but the internal detail clashes between lines, making your eye go one way first and then the other, and the colors also work against you.

then add another highlight for a depth feel of the same colors, but lighter shades. Since each group of color is the same shade, it makes it look very very flat. The higher sections would improve by having a lighter shade, even slightly than the ones underneath. Like when the raised pieces of a car ...

I'd use a different shade of red, darker, to match the gray, or make the gray lighter. Given the number of darker gray fleets, I'd lighten the gray and use shading for more depth. You've already got highlights going with the gray, but because the red is so bright, they get lost, so just lighten ever...

the colors are bad, and should be redone. The shading job is fine, but the color choices themselves are not complementary in those shades.

you may want to pick a different highlight color, or another one. Gray and brown are too close together.

I agree with VNilla. Also, yours is one of the few schemes using green highlights that doesn't hurt my eyes. Good toning and structure; nice job.

The light cyan outlines that appear throughout the ship seem like they have no purpose. If it was a brief lighting before a weapon fire, transformation, etc, but if they are there all the time, they ruin the lines of a good ship. Makes it seem like a bunch of puzzle pieces with clear outlines rather...

the assassin looks... a lot like my ship. I REALLY like the AMR Dreadnought, though I suggest that the dark blue Aegis be removed. It messes up the clean-line look. The Starling looks really really bad.... and part of that is your color choices. I'd suggest a recolor, with more emphasis on tones wit...
