Re: SWA 2.0

By the way lady and gents, please indicate on this thread whether you'd prefer to see an Alpha release of TSA_Ablatives or more ablativised Shinys (if Kae is happy for me to release).

Re: SWA 2.0

I wanted to see what happened when you combined TSA Ablatives with Kaelis' Shinys (TSKae Shitives)? The answer is that they go together tolerably well, not perfectly, but they work ok. My test ship is below. MWP.png Now I know what you're thinking. You're thinking Hey, kae_shn026 looks different in ...

Re: Kaelis' Section Factory

Woo! Bountiful Kaelis, that is shedloads more sections than I was expecting, there must be hours of work in there. I'm gonna dl these and see how they match up with SWA2, I'm figuring better than SWA1. @Anna, I'm liking those two Culture ships, probably more than anything you've made for long time. ...

Re: SWA 2.0

Any plans to release the sections any time soon? It's unlikely I'm afraid. I'm not a fan of incremental releases and there is much work to be done. Having said that, incremental releases aren't such a pain now I don't have to worry about external hosting. However I wouldn't expect any updates at al...

SWA 2.0

Hey BSF Community, it's been a while. What's shaking? New board functionality = Awesome. I didn't think I would be coming back to BSF, but a few days ago I had a little time and figured I'd swing by - check out what's been happening. The thing that had bothered me (and partly the reason I went inact...

TSA's Thread

Hey, It's been a while. Anything happen while I was gone? This is my first ship in a long time so I didn't know if I'd still have my mojo. The brief I gave myself for this ship was pretty simple, a ship that looked like one of those ridiculous fantasy swords you find on the internet. I only had a va...

YOUR BACK Go build some winrar stuff :D What about my back? Don't worry, I am building. Stop derailing this dudes thread dude. The 'swa' ship...Well to be fair, it does actually resemble the mirage, minus some of the glows. Well yeah, I guess the silhouette would be similar but the devil is in the ...

While there are some well put together things on your thread (I liked the bling ship and the little green one) the 'SWA' ship is a bit of a heap tbf.

Is that really how my ships look to you?

There's a pleasing coherence and solidity to these ships, depth shading and glows are nicely done. 2nd one is probably my favourite design, I like the punchy and brutal nose, but paradoxically is the least well implemented of the 3 because the busy hull section doesn't match the wings. Kae is probab...

Just for the record: My reliability is poor and my character questionable.

Fact of the matter is that I simply wouldn't have the time to give either building or judging the consideration it deserved.

I started making ships again though.

IKARU SECTION PACK (v1.0) http://filesmelt.com/downloader/TSA_Ikaru.rar Extract to TSA_Ikaru directory. Previews : Click for normal zoom I know I really ought to preview the whole pack but it's too much hassle. The sections are exactly the same as the Uraki pack except inverted. Here are the 1st 22...

Oh, the centerline sections (104, etc) aren't centered properly, btw. One pixel off from either side, meaning that it has one too few pixels. The centerline is actually two pixels. Yeah I had this internal debate, even created a 104 with a 2 pixel centreline. Thing is, I like them as they are, true...

The overall shape is interesting and quite original. First impressions are the the ship appears quite flat. There are some sections which I am not sure what they are bringing to the party - specifically the fan-shaped jobs at the rear. The round bit in the oval hole doesn't seem to work for me. I wo...

Finally! I thought these would never come. Joy and exuberance. Although i must say that these are a bit too detailed for my taste, mainly in the fine detail lines department; makes the ships look 'dirty'. Permission to modify? The fuck? Fine, go and make your clean versions of my filthy sections. B...
