Looks almost like the ship off of Starship troopers. The coloring works well enough. I want to ask when is the best way to choose when to shade sections to show depth? You did a pretty good job outlining the sections off, and you seem to enjoy creating larger vessels. Any pointers, that you can show...

There we go. I wanted to keep the same color scheme I had for the 3D render and it fit rather well. I haven't placed any weapon mounts or extras yet, but I'm getting there. Thanks for having patience.

Why thank you Arcalane. That's got to be the nicest thing you have said to me thus far. :) And yes, having a Red Baron ship in space is pretty much an eye sore. The red was one of the base colors I selected as one of the default three and will make the colors much easier on the eyes when I finalize ...

I know this ship like the back of my hand

He stretch was yet another quick fix for the spires. The best way would have been to use a few more sections, but this is a work in progress. I know, it sticks out rather poorly. EDIT Fixing that would prevent the aegis from having so many white spots and let the affect seem less of a fuzz and more ...

The white is a result of the poor overlay the aegis affect creates, as the spires are partly under some sections. I have to work on that.

There are a lot of problems with the layout I need to work with, and its out in the open for review. Thank you again.

Actually the light blue spires are “warp” Pylons for moving the ship faster than light. I have 3D render of that same ship at home that makes it a pit clearer. Sorry about the PNG thing, Image changed. EDIT As far as the ship looking familiar, some said it looked klingonish and like the battleships ...

My first large ship

I’m sorry I’m using a Gif image, the MS paint here is the best I got at work. The Jpeg was even worse. I rather work on smaller ships and fighters, but I wanted to give this a try. I am running into issues where the mirrored sections are overlapping in the wrong places and it’s incredibly difficult ...

It worked!

Thank you again Slayer. I placed some Ablative sections on the Cerimar legs and it worked! http://members.cox.net/ltfoxfire/BFscreen00a.jpg One more time on the other side http://members.cox.net/ltfoxfire/BFscreen02a.jpg Still a leg to stand on! http://members.cox.net/ltfoxfire/BFscreen04a.jpg Even ...

Thank you Slayer. That actually helped out a lot. I'll post the remake of the Cerimar tommorow.

Smaller is better

Wow. I got to look into that when I get back home. Are they found in the shp, sb3, or can it be done right in the Shipmaker?

EDIT: Woops sorry, I responded before the edit. Thank you.

The new ships for review

Skimmer: Scout/Defender Fighter HP: 40 http://members.cox.net/ltfoxfire/skimmer.JPG The guns were given a 90 degree turn to adjust the arcs for 220 degrees so they don't fire through the fighter. This was made from an old 3D render design I did a while back shown below. I could have done better, but...

Rehash the issue

I couldn’t leave it alone and I didn’t want to continue to make new mistakes not learning from the old ones so I tested out the Cerimar with one leg, void of many of the “extras” while leaving the other with. Blowing up the upper leg resulted in a one legged ship while blowing up the bottom resulted...

Another one.

The proximity of the two legs may be exactly what’s causing the premature detonation. I may just chalk it up to an Achilles heel of the ship or take the Ablative armor option. Thanks everyone.
