Mmm, very nice. The grunges seem to create a very interesting camouflage effect, at least with the colors you used.

Okay, so you've got the general shape of your ships down pretty good. I like them, and the spherical core thing is pretty cool, but the rest of your ships looks like your just throwing sections onto a hull outline. The outline is very jagged, and even if you weren't going for a smooth outline, there...

Asymmetrical ships for the win.

I think you could carry over the concept to larger ships quite well. I'm not sure Galatine particularly counts. It kinda looks like the ship designers took an older ship and tacked a really big gun on one side.

If it isn't already obvious, most of the Dst-Ori pack could be made into sick-looking weapons with little modification. In particular, Dst_Ori76 and Dst-Ori79 would make excellent sprites for a Vulcan, with animation and muzzleflash of course. On a somewhat unrelated note, do you know what Cortex Co...

Your first ship was horrid, but you've been getting better and better with successive ships. Keep up the trend. I would also suggest taking a look at the work of some of the forum big boys, like Arcalane, or TheShipwrightArms, or perhaps Wicky. Learn from their designs, and don't be afraid to ask th...

You do realize that only missiles would be affect by chaff, right? Because no targeting computer of a kinetic/energy cannon would be fooled by mere chaff. And no gunner would allow his guns to shoot at chaff for more than negative 5 seconds. Chaff works best on the tiny compressed brains of missiles.

I have just tested this, and I have come to a conclusion. The Shipwrightizer might be awesome for ship sections, but is it sucks for single section fighters. I had to take the shading that it did for one half and apply it by hand to the other half. As in, go in with the color dropper tool and the p...

Nice detail work there, Chibi. Although I don't understand the big gap in the center. Are you trying to make a hangar bay?

Um... well people have been releasing custom sections for a while now. Many of them have made it easier to build better looking ships. I'm pretty sure the forum is still mostly about the ships that are built, though.

In my experience, flanking AI doesn't really cause fighter-like movement. Fighters make passes on their target and swing around. Flanking AI sits in a spot, shoots, then moves side ways left or right, maybe 300 pixels, and repeats.

holy shit, that's a massive avvie, Darkzero. As for the actual ships, The alien is nice, and yeah, no doodads. I also liked your original Titan. The running doodad things were pretty cool. The redesign is pretty good too. Overall, your shape and internal structure is good. You do, however, need to w...

Whoever built those Lego ships is god. That Vayger Bomber is spot on.

Also, can I place requests? The Absolution Mk.I or Mk.II from Toonami?
