I'm pretty persistent with the blending Stock sections with Shipwrightized sections. But I kinda feel this is a cluttery mess. :P

It's the typical brilliant BSF shipwork from Seraph.

But still, you just keep churning high quality ships, be it with stock sections or shipwrightized sections. The only complaint I have is the teeth-like things in the main cannon. They look slightly repetitive, but that's just my opinion. :)

So that justifies my epic fail, then.

Hm, I really thought stock BSF and Shipwrightized sections could go well in a way... guess not. A full-fledged Shipwrightized ship will be coming soon.

Changed the screenshot.

My depthing is still quite poor, sorry. Plus it's only my first try into the SWA sections.

Ian's novelties.

Well, my first novelty is my first attempt to try blending stock sections with SWA sections. And I think I epicly failed with my Icicle. More ships coming soon.

The Certis Akantha and Strouthion are great looking. The Kravelius Vellator is something special, the Advektor is slightly too cluttered in the red middle section. However they all look nice. They're 3x better than your old Kravelius Sinestra, at least. :D

I'll have to disagree with you, inteuniso. Small ships can still look much better than some of the big ships around here.

And this is a pretty sound small ship. It's nothing special, but it's functional, clean and pretty well constructed. I would like to see parenting lines for this, though. :)

Not necessarily, a fleet does not have to be the same style, it can be united by other ways, although a mismatched fleet is a wee bit confusing. And the idea of a fleet of prototype ships is something I haven't seen on this forum, its a very good idea. I don't know if they look prototype-y, but the...

I know the styles are very different from one another, but I intentionally did that, as the fleet is supposed to be like different failed ship prototypes that some geniuses somehow managed to make it work well. :)

Bump. I have finished the Tier 1 ships for the fleet. All with different roles, and all have flanking AI (I dunno why I did it actually) http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa313/ianfreddie07/tier1shipsFINAL.png From clockwise order starting at 12 o clock position: Myrmidon Missile Corvette Phalanx A...

I like this ship a lot. :)

And I totally agree with SHAD0Wdump's suggestion. Place a faint glow on the glyphs.

The fleet: Very nice. Not a really big fan of the Vanis, or the Iyuli. The Quevil looks pretty OK, and I want to know how you made the firey thingy on the Avaji. :D The Probaki: Me like. Me really like. My only gripe about it is that the sidepod thrusters in the rear stick out a bit. But otherwise, ...

Update. :D Here I have 5 of the planned 9 Tier 1 ships including their variants. Slugger Mk2 - Fast attacking gunship. Hits fast, hard, has good armor and speed. Has 2x Energy Machine Guns. Warhawk Fighter Variant - Slower than the Slugger but packs more firepower, with 4 pulse guns, 2 railguns and ...

No, it doesn't close/open. I dunno how to do that

Maybe the front doesn't look good for you because of the protruding front wings... I wonder if they'll look better if I kinda modified them and made the front a bit more robust.

New ship! :D The Tomekk is an experimental gunship which plans to combine agility with good armor and some great firepower. Well, the only firepower I have right now is a "Magmatic Lite" firebeam laser (Thanks to Arcalane for beam overlaying), and the "Mini Meteor" energy bolt (T...
