Yeah, that color works a lot better.

As for the engines, I think they look fine as-is.

I'm no master of coloring, but I would change either the light blue to a darker gray or lighter red, or change the dark red border to blue or something.

Also, a lot of those weapons look like they were just stuck on as an afterthought.

Lookin' good. Nice job combining alien and human parts into a coherent whole. Not easy to pull off without a bit of forethought.

Big Update. All them HU ships are up.

I'm not sure how everyone else does it, but when I'm layering, I gusually want the pieces to be lower in depth as I go outward, as with most ships the hull should slope downward from a top-down view. I can see a few pieces around the edge of the big ship you just posted that would be better either l...

There you go. The shape is good. If I were you, I'd go in and change up the colors to bring out the edges and everything, but it's obvious that you're not done with it.

EDIT: I didn't mean to say that it looks unfinished or anything. I was just assuming you're going to put some weapons on it.
