You know, if you guys really want to work out the best shapes for custom battleships in this here 2D game with less physics than there needs to be, you simply do the following:

Don't use deflectors. Or Aegis types for that matter either. Then you'll see how ships should really be built.

Damn. I too had this idea only a few days ago, in the form of a really tiny ship with little guns that had it's movement stats set at phenomenal levels.
