Re: Random Acts of Violence with Space Engineers
So I've been on a kick of 3d printing models from some of my favorite games growing up. Originally I started modeling stuff in a CAD program, but what good is that when I can baptize them with fire?! So this is from Space Engineers. Still very rough as I don't have days or even hours on end to veg o...

Re: Where are they now?
It's funny; I've played games with so many people over the years, some on a daily basis, but rarely learned anything about them. This forum especially you see a lot of personality displayed but most of the life details are imagined. Of course there were many titans from the early days of the forum w...

Re: For the bots
Bien That is amazing! I've been trying to design a Hestia in 3d and of course a lot of it had to be artistic license. I imagined the wings down-swept a bit but the star destroyer trenches work great! Doogie, you are an artist with this stuff. I hated working with those sections precisely because the...

This is cool; very well done. I was actually just looking for close up images of some of the stock ships.

Re: BMZ ships
Considering how much you used that one bit of armor on the Lakota, it actually looks pretty good and gives a sense of slope. I would recommend trying to fit that kind of scaled armor into something smaller, and use it sparingly amid more detailed sections. Also maybe incorporate the color throughout...

Re: Artist Formerly Known As Silver Winged Seraph
Loving this stuff, everything is so precise. The ships are completely different but all look like a cohesive fleet without being the same ship with extra bits tacked on. Even the parts that seem boxy or straight lines at first glance are detailed. Don't remotely have the time to touch this wonderful...

I think the only quality stuff I ever built was fan ships but if the links are even still working you are welcome to them.

These are really nice, though I like that blue one best.

Re: Weapon for the zombie apocalypse?
Fuck it, I'll post. I'll take a Croon HS010 . The only disadvantage I can think of is that I might sprain my thumb filling the magazines with whatever gun food they'd eat in real life-- likely .22LR. I love the part where he thought he was switching to single fire mode... They should literally writ...

Re: Random Acts of Violence with Space Engineers
@Cryosleep Thanks! Yes it is Terran. My understanding is that humans started off as really low tech compared to other races but then fought a bunch of wars with with the different aliens and over time got various techs. This was one of the more advanced ships towards the end of the show, though they...

So just picked up Space Engineers to compare it to Starmade. Both have some features I would like the other to pick up, but right now I feel like Space Engineers is going in a more realistic direction for what I enjoy. So for my first ship I decided to feed my fan ship addiction, and build the Warlo...

Re: A Timeline Of Sorts
That is actually pretty cool. I've heard of or played a decent number of those but always looking for more in the style. It's actually interesting how many people playing these kind of games can reference BSF as getting them into it.

Re: spare unused sprites in custom sprites folder
I just open up the four sprite boxes, select and delete the defaults, then go through all the folders ctrl-selecting any that I like and dragging them into one of the four boxes. Then save as a .ini, rename it as default and you are in business.
