maybe we should have each form of pd be good against different things. like the point defence beam would be good at stopping drones and the big missles, but would have trouble with smaller things, like artillery fire. the flak cannon would be useful for missles, and maybe large amounts of artillery,...

I don't like the idea of fighters like in MG 1.0. I think all the stuff needed to keep someone alive in that tiny space is unrealisated. I don't mind having drones as research options through, as long as we have some good starting PD to counter them.

Assuming base tax income is the same for every world,and we keep population to easy numbers. my only fear is if it is possible to get morale to a point where you get more taxes for low then normal. here's my idea on the money and resources stuff. Money could pay for workers (maintenance on shipyards, resource stations and such), and minerals can be used for the building of them. use money only for planet improvements (like more houses to support more pop).
