Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

The Vilushans have returned, with a vengeance.

After the downfall of the Alliance by a mystrious and uncureable plague, thousands of factions were left with technology never to be used by small governements. While some have been doing their best to research a cure and rebuild the IAP, other factions simply closed their borders, putting a quarantine on the outside. The Vilushans were one of these factions.

No longer a young, democratic insitute, the Vilushan Sovereign Empire evolved into a powerful, aggressive nation, hellbent on keeping themselves safe from the Plague, cleansing their surroundings, and claiming it for their own Sovereignty.

-----------------

Ravadan Caen, a despot deluded by hundreds of advisors and power hungry politicians.

Image

Erasmus Veldekan, Grand Admiral of the Vilushan Imperial Navy.

Some have speculated that Veldekan was the worst choice that the emperor could make; in his starting years he was as arrogant as incompetent, and when he finally started to gain experience and even several diplomatic victories, he slipped into a depression after the death of a his brother. Veldekan is an extremely lax commander, and his state of mind has caused him to make the wrong decisions.

Image

General Armana Trieste, commander of the Vilushan Sovereign Empire's extensive ground forces. Part Vilushan, part Denebrian, her very appearance has made many a nationalistic element in the Vilushan Senate scurry to the nearest arms shop, then quickly fall silent when noticing her next brilliant victory. Master at devising stratagems and, more importantly, making the right decisions, Trieste's intellect is a shining beacon for Vilushan soldiers and Naval personnel alike.

----------------

The Vilushan Sovereign Imperial Navy

Little is yet known about Caen's new armada, but civilian sensor readings have picked up an image of a large, arrowhead shaped vessel, probably en route to Sequana. This planet is a major Vilushan construction site.

Image

Confidential messages from Ruustirii Intel confirm that this vessel is called the "Vox Vocis", and will serve as the Vilushan's main battlefleet.

Addition: Confused reports from Aralonian fleet command have confirmed that a fully armed Vox Vocis type vessel has destroyed an Aralonian Bismarck A type without taking any noteable damage. Ruustirii High Command reports entering the highest state of emergency.

Addition: Ruustirii Intellingence service has managed to take a picture of a blueprint of the Vox Vocis, now officially designated the Vox Vocis class Heavy Dreadnought. Unfortunately, the Ruustirii agent was discovered and executed before she could send further documentation, but this picture got through Vilushan security screens.

Image

Addition: IVL Newsfeeds have confirmed the destruction of at least one Athena class carrier by a Vox Vocis class vessel. Following battle with it's Zeus escort resulted in a full retreat by Vilushan forces. IVL response to this intrusion reamins unclear.

Addition: IVL Newsfeeds have transmitted a report about the destruction of a Zeus class Dreadnought by a refitted Vox Vocis. How the Vilushan Empire was able to install a more powerful main weapon so quickly reamins unclear, and IVL Empress Elizabeth I has yet to react on these assaults.

(Lizzie, could you, ehm...)

So? What d'ya think? Just tell me if you really need a better picture.

EDIT: If you took the ship and ran it through photoshop, then can you also post a normal pic of it? Anway, I can't wait to see it armed.

I like the tail, I think you should leave it, but make it thinner near the base.

Personally I think he just used a photoshop filter on a completed ship ;)

Still it looks really nice.

Not bad, I AM NOT a fan of the tail though. It'd look better if you just chopped that tail off IMO.

It'd look a whole lot more Star Destroyer-like without the tail, though :P
Not sure that is a good thing or a bad thing.

Bad Boy wrote:Wow, amazing concept art, I can't wait to see that in ship form! I love how you drew it in sections instead of as a whole ship, it looks really good.
I'd be flattered if It actually was a drawing. Just ran it through photobucket's new image editor, mind you.

About the tail; I might remove it, but it's really a part of the original concept, so I don't really wanna lose it.

Meh. I wanted to achieve a stardestroyer look, but not too much.

@Lizzie; kick me if I'm being a noob, but would it be possible to get a beta download of your new fleet? I'm attempting to balance these ships against both the Aralonians and the IVL.

that effect is hardcore! Looks like something out of a comic book, took me a minute of wondering how you drew the shapes so precisely before I realized what it was. I like the tail, lends itself well to the overall feel of the ship, especially if theres a specific purpose to it.

I really like the front of it, that part is exceptionally well done, and I really like the color scheme. The tail, I'm not so sure about. I think it needs to be chopped off, or you need to widen it an give it a bit more detail. As of right now, it just looks a bit tacked-on.

Looks awesome, I like the tail as it is, except maybe near the end. The weapons look good and don't really detract from the design so, that's fine. I prefer the colour scheme in the photoshopped picture, it looks better like that to me.

That ship is the shizz'. You did a good job, as always.

Although for some reason, it reminds me of a Baby Dodongo...

Fair enough, you could change the colour of your avatar and sig so it matches (j/k).
